Weekend Update - 12/10/2012

{re-using the DIY 'Cheers' sign from last years party}

My word...am I sorry for the much-longer-than-anticipated interruption (Mary Jo). Work, holiday parties, guests in town have all consumed my life as we round out the rest of 2013.  This weekend I had a group of friends visiting from Illinois so started with my 2nd Annual Christmas party Friday night, Saturday wandered around Brooklyn and Sunday brunch in the West Village. Now another busy week with a day trip to Charlotte tomorrow and off to Miami Thursday for a wedding. Hope you all had a great weekend!

{much more fun using Christmas lights instead of regular lights}

{Christmas lights reflecting off the gallery wall I'm finally near finishing}

{sheepskin rugs and a tutu to add texture around my room}

{hats & scarves adorning the walls so as not to take up any additional space}

{my midget tree that fits nicely inside the built in book cases and thus doesn't take up any other space}

Day in the Life of a Farmer's Wife (Xmas Edition)

{one of 21 Christmas trees}

This summer I posted a few photos of my sister and her husbands farm house...but figured I would photograph it again when I visited last week to capture what a crazy Christmas lady she is. Everything little nook and cranny indoors and out decorated to the nines....since the end of October. Insane? Yes. But I am quite jealous that I don't have a house where I would most likely do the same.

{diy wrapping paper and variety of festive decor}

{lights & greenery around every...and I mean every window/banister/church pew/etc.}

{Another full fledge tree in the entryway and little decorations on an old coat rack}

{vintage food box filled with greenery & lights}

{love the old ice skates, suitcases and ironing board in the guest (aka my) bedroom}

{laundry room decorated perfectly just like mine...oh wait, I don't even have laundry in my building}

{old barn ladders decorated with greenery, old feed sacks and ice skates}

{their new shed...with the outside obviously decorated}
