Day in the Life of a Farmer's Wife (Xmas Edition)

This summer I posted a few photos of my sister and her husbands farm house...but figured I would photograph it again when I visited last week to capture what a crazy Christmas lady she is. Everything little nook and cranny indoors and out decorated to the nines....since the end of October. Insane? Yes. But I am quite jealous that I don't have a house where I would most likely do the same.

I wore this outfit for the Christmas Eve celebrations this past weekend. As you can see, a special 'little' diva made a guest appearance in this outfit post as she refused to step out of the photos. Gingerbread Rice Krispie Treats

My sister and I had a sweet craving yesterday afternoon so we quickly whipped up some Rice Krispie Treats using gingerbread marshmallows instead of regular to make them taste a little more festive and added green icing & sprinkles to make little trees and miniature m&ms & chocolate chips to make gingerbread men. Super quick and easy holiday treat. Merry Christmas Eve!

Have a Cozy Christmas Weekend

I'm not sure about you but I'm finally home for the holidays where I plan to get lots of rest by wearing plenty of warm knits as I snuggle up with a fuzzy blanket, my favorite pup, a good book and hot cocoa by the fireplace on what is hopefully a white Christmas day...before sleeping my life away. Wishing you all a very peaceful, restful and the merriest of Christmas'. Safe travels to you and your loved ones. xx
