Summer...you were so sweet. Very sad to see you go but onto autumn, my favorite season of the year. Here's a round up just a few of the highlights. Hope you all had an enjoyable summer and here's to making the rest of the year even better yet. Have a great long weekend!

Picked this dress up when Urban was having their 30% off sale items sale. It's still on sale in stores for $19.99 but also online here. Overall a perfectly lightweight, airy summer dress that I can see working next spring under a jean jacket as well.

Weekend Update - 8/27/2012

This weekend consisted of packing and packing some more....then when I was done with that I finished packing. Literally took me like two days. That is not normal. Anywho, I'm off to Europe for the next two weeks but have scheduled posts until my return September 10th. Ciao!

H&M Peplum Top (similar here) | Zara (sale) Shorts & Booties

Just one more (similar here) in a series of H&M peplum tops that I own (see: here, here, here and here). This is really beginning to be a problem. Paired this white little number with a pair of Zara sale shorts and booties, which I'm proud to say were each under $20.

Help Wanted: Europe Recommendations

Soooo, I leave Sunday for Europe for two weeks. And in my typical procrastination fashion, have little planned outside of logistics and lodging. That's where you come in: unique/locals restaurants, cute shops, things to see and things to skip, etc. for the cities listed below. Ready, set, go!

At $10, this vintage one piece may have been one of the best buys of the summer. On the beach, to the bar...it works on its own as a swim suit to lay out, with jorts during the day or paired a black maxi to transition into night. A prime example of an easily adaptable NY outfit. What are some of your favorite day-to-night outfit tricks? 

Weekend Update - 8/20/2012

Out in the Hamptons for what was my last summer weekend this year. The weather was less than ideal but it did allow for a change up from the normal BBQ/beach routine to try some new restaurants (Estia's Little Kitchen, Ruschmeyers, B. Smith's) and wine tasting at Channing Daughters. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Perhaps the best summer maxi I own, this dress has treated me well the past couple months for al fresco dinners, concerts in the park and rooftop drinks alike. So comfortable I could sleep in it and have more than once, in fact. Paired here with another summer staple...these Sam Edelman booties that you're probably sick of hearing about by now.
